Lothian & Borders Volleyball are pleased to have the first FIVB Beach Volleyball Coach in Scotland deliver a player development opportunity on Saturday 21st August.
Ioannis Panayiotakis is a very well known, and liked, coach within Scotland and has agreed to deliver 2 clinics (1 for Men and 1 for Women) on the theme of ‘Structures for competing at Beach Volleyball.’
Ioannis has extensive knowledge of the Beach game as a player and a coach having started his journey in Greece, Cyprus and most latterly on the Scottish Beach Tour. He completed his FIVB Qualification in 2015 and has coached on the FIVB World Tour and also on the Road to the Rio Olympics at the Continental Cup, where Scotland got a big win against Bulgaria.

After a successful period of coaching at the University of Stirling, he took a break from the game to focus on his young family.
Ioannis is currently working with athletes at West Coast Beach Volleyball Club and is always does his best to support the development of Beach Volleyball in this country. As a librarian, he believes heavily in empowering athletes with the sharing of information they are given.
