Lothian and Borders Volleyball Association are running a series of Beach Volleyball Tournaments in the coming weeks under the guidance of Scottish Volleyball and the Scottish Government.
Please note: Due to current Government travel restrictions, only players from the Lothian Health Board region may participate in this tournament.
The next tournament will take place on Sunday 22nd November at Portobello Beach and will be a 12 team female only competition. Please note that the tournament will take place next to Noble Amusements. The best place to park is at Bridge Street. There are public toilets next to the courts which are open from 11am. The deadline for entries is Friday 20th November at 6pm.
Registration will take place from 9.15am with the first games commencing at 9.30am and the final due to take place no later than 2.45pm. The draw will be online from 7pm the night before the competition.
The format of the competition will be as below if all 12 teams are filled:
There will be a split of £80 prize money between the Top 2 teams. This will be subject to change dependent on number of entries.
To enter the competition, there will be a fee of £16 per team.
The tournament will be based on a first come first served basis.
Seeding will be based on the following criteria:
1st Criteria – Previous LBVA Event
2nd Criteria – FIVB Points
3rd Criteria – UKBT Points
4th Criteria – Open Draw
After receipt of entry, your team will receive detailed information of our COVID guidance to ensure the tournament is safe for all participants.
All payments will be taken online and all prize money will be sent online, no cash will be accepted or changed hands.
